Website improvement and redesign

Do not rebuild everything. Fix what evidence says is weak.

VURM reviews where an existing website loses clarity, speed, search visibility or useful enquiries. The intervention follows the cause: targeted optimisation, redesign with retention or a controlled rebuild.

Choose the intervention

Optimise, redesign or rebuild?

Optimise

The foundation works

Improve calls to action, forms, content hierarchy, metadata or performance without replacing usable architecture.

Redesign

Content is useful, presentation is weak

Retain valuable pages while rebuilding navigation, mobile order, visual hierarchy and conversion paths.

Rebuild

Technology blocks the goal

Use a controlled rebuild only when security, maintenance, rendering or performance cannot be repaired responsibly.

Before the first change

Protect what already has value.

1 — Baseline

Define the desired action

Agree what the visitor needs to understand or complete, then map the current paths that support or obstruct it.

2 — Inventory

Review content, URLs and technology

Check mobile UX, forms, indexable URLs, canonicals, links, assets and any reliable analytics or search data available.

3 — Scope

Approve the actual intervention

Document what stays, what changes, what is excluded and how the work will be tested after implementation.

What VURM will not claim.

A redesign cannot guarantee revenue, conversion rates or a fixed search position. Competitors, search systems and customer behaviour remain outside the control of any studio.

Without reliable analytics or Search Console access, technical and journey issues can still be inspected, but historic traffic, ranking and conversion conclusions remain estimates.

A price follows the existing platform, number of page types, required functions, missing content, migration risk and continuity requirements. VURM does not invent a fixed repair price without that inventory.

Frequently asked questions

What to confirm before deciding.

Does my current website need a complete rebuild?

Not automatically. VURM first inventories technology, content, URLs and conversion paths. A rebuild is proposed only when targeted repair cannot responsibly solve the agreed problem.

Can existing SEO value be retained?

Useful URLs and content are retained where sensible. Necessary URL changes require direct permanent redirects, updated internal links, canonicals and sitemap entries. Rankings can never be guaranteed.

Can VURM improve only speed or technical SEO?

Yes, if the cause and boundaries can be verified. Ongoing technical care is handled separately from a one-off improvement project.
